"Help us design a compelling interactive visitor center that effectively represents our varied business units."

CooperKatz was hired by Alticor, formerly Amway Corporation, to redesign the company Visitor Center in Ada, Michigan to reflect its new organizational structure. The project entailed working with the head of each business unit and other personnel to define the new company "brands" and communicate the essence of each business. During this process, CooperKatz also helped to create the overall brand personality for Alticor.

The result is an eye-popping, hands-on Visitor Center that physically represents the organizational structure of the new Alticor. Some of the special features of the exhibit that convey the important information include: the audience exiting "through the screen" from the theater presentation into the Alticor Core; a conveyor featuring 92 company products that runs through three sections of the center; an observation deck that transports visitors to the floor of Alticor’s manufacturing facilities; a stunning 9’ x 28’ backlit wall that tells the stories of 14 distributors around the world; and an interactive honeycomb wall, two computer stations and a multi-monitor video in the Pyxis area that stimulates the creativity of every visitor.

In all, the Visitor Center features 8 unusual video presentations, more than 15 experiential exhibition areas, three floor-to-ceiling photography displays, seven interactive computer stations, and custom lighting and sound effects throughout, all coordinated via a sophisticated central programming system. The new Alticor Visitor Center, very different in tone and content from the former Amway Center, engagingly communicates the bold transformation of the company.
