The American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), the world’s largest member association representing the accounting profession, engaged CooperKatz for the launch of a new global designation for management accountants – the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA). A joint effort between AICPA and the UK-based Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), CGMA recognizes and elevates the financial and strategic skills of management accountants to effectively navigate business complexities and achieve sustainable success.
A key element of the CGMA launch was the “Forum for Business Success,” an NYC-London satellite linked event to reveal the findings of a global CEO survey on what would drive business performance in the coming years. The ongoing CGMA campaign to increase awareness of management accounting in the United States included a quarterly Global Economic Forecast and a focus on thought leadership topics such as business ethics and the CFO of the future.
CGMA placements were secured by CooperKatz in outlets including The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Radio’s The Hays Advantage, CFO Journal, Dow Jones, Industry Week, HR Magazine and Accounting Today.
CooperKatz has also provided strategic planning and media / advertising planning services for the AICPA. In particular, CooperKatz has developed multiple, integrated marketing campaigns for the CGMA designation and also planned and executed a robust advertising campaign designed to increase awareness of AICPA’s membership benefits. Overall, the CGMA marketing campaigns have bolstered marketplace awareness and credibility for the designation and resulted in increased rates of adoption and conversion.
CooperKatz was also the public relations representative for several other AICPA designations, including the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credential, the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) credential and the Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP) credential.
