DiscoverReady offers a unique twist to automated electronic discovery, a hybrid of human and automated document review. When they engaged CooperKatz to launch a new service and drive adoption in 2010, electronic discovery was still emerging as a service. The landscape was dominated by large players, and there was hesitancy in the sphere to try new services. Potential clients not only needed to know that electronic discovery worked, they needed to be assured that DiscoverReady’s approach was accurate and defensible. DiscoveryReady tasked CooperKatz to help launch the brand’s iDecision automated review service and increase general awareness of their brand and offerings.

To help demystify electronic discovery and iDecision, CooperKatz invited journalists to one of DiscoverReady’s offices to see the process themselves, resulting in favorable news coverage with The American Lawyer. To generate increased awareness of the brand, CooperKatz positioned DiscoverReady executives as legal discovery experts on topics such as the BP oil leak. In helping reporters better understand how and when the legal system would learn about the spill, DiscoverReady was positioned as experts by top-tier media such as Bloomberg, as well as legal trades such as Corporate Counsel.
