CooperKatz helped Otis Elevator Company, a unit of United Technologies Corporation, demonstrate its company-wide, global commitment to energy efficiency and sustainability. A key focus of this work was promoting the comprehensive Way to Green™ program, which encourages environmental awareness among Otis’ 60,000 global employees, as well as the company’s vast network of suppliers and customers. This initiative spans every aspect of its operations, from product design and manufacturing, to supply chain, maintenance and end-of-life recycling.
To re-launch and rejuvenate The Way to Green™, CooperKatz invited a targeted group of top-tier journalists to interview Otis President Didier Michaud-Daniel and tour the Otis Test Tower. This unique location is the tallest facility of its kind in North America. Media coverage included the Associated Press, whose coverage was carried by dozens of local and national outlets, Timeand The Wall Street Journal. CooperKatz also accompanied Otis to the Greenbuild Conference & Expo in Toronto to arrange on-site interviews about energy efficiency and Otis products.
The successful promotion of the Way To Green™ initiative led to ongoing public relations outreach targeting high-level media and providing communications support for the company’s president and C-Suite executives. Recently, CooperKatz was contracted to work with UTC Building & Industrial Systems to create a series of bylined articles on a range of thought leadership topics including global energy-efficiency and green building.
