Faced with competition from quick-serve chicken restaurants as well as traditional burger chains, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen – the world’s second largest franchisor of quick-service chicken restaurants – engaged CooperKatz to build brand awareness and increase customer traffic.
As a first step, CooperKatz helped promote Popeyes’ brand transformation, including a new name and tagline (‘Louisiana Fast’) to reinforce the company’s Louisiana heritage. CooperKatz also introduced a series of new menu items and platforms through outreach to both traditional and social media.
In addition, we have developed an array of social media assets for Popeyes, including an official presence on Facebook and YouTube. And when hip-hop superstar Diddy challenged his fans to vote on who makes better tasting chicken – Popeyes or KFC? – CooperKatz quickly arranged a delicious Popeyes food delivery to ‘Diddy’s House’ to remind him of the brand’s distinctive Louisiana taste. Shortly thereafter, he posted a video of the delivery on YouTube.
On the corporate front, CooperKatz is working with Popeyes to design a corporate social responsibility program.
