Qatar Airways, the world’s 5-star airline, selected CooperKatz to build national brand recognition and preference for its award-winning service.

One of the world’s fastest growing airlines, Qatar Airways, engaged CooperKatz to create greater awareness for its brand in the United States. The airline was ranked one of the “World’s Best Airlines” for 2010 by Travel + Leisure in its annual reader’s survey, and was listed among an elite group of carriers designated as providing “5-star” level service, according to Skytrax.

CooperKatz developed a comprehensive PR program focusing on Qatar Airways’ growth and expansion plans, service quality and operational excellence, including the airline’s pioneering environmental efforts in the development of biofuel use for commercial aircraft. An aggressive media relations effort aligned Qatar Airways executives with leading outlets including CBS News / “The Early Show”, USA Today, Dallas Morning News, Houston Chronicle, Elite Traveler, Conde Nast Traveler, Travel + Leisure, Sherman’s Travel, and, among others.

As part of an awards initiative, CooperKatz submitted Qatar Airways for Travel Weekly’s 2010 Magellan Award in a total of six international carrier categories, including best Business Class, Economy Class and Eco-Friendly “Green” Airline. The 5-star airline took home gold and silver awards in every category, making it the only multiple-winning airline among that year’s entries.


CooperKatz also facilitated FAM (or, familiarization) trips offering top-tier media the opportunity to personally experience premium, end-to-end luxury travel on Qatar Airways.
