TD Bank engaged CooperKatz to promote its environmental efforts across its Maine to Florida footprint, with a particular focus on its Employee Environmental Engagement Program (EEEP) and its green building practices.
CooperKatz was tapped by TD Bank to establish a robust thought leadership campaign highlighting the benefits of a successful Environmental Employee Engagement Program. The CooperKatz team partnered with TD Bank’s Head of Environmental Affairs, Diana Glassman, as the main spokesperson for this initiative, facilitating interviews with such top-tier outlets as The Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. In addition, the team was able to secure high-level byline opportunities including Entrepreneur.com.
CooperKatz also worked with TD Bank to showcase the bank’s green building efforts, including numerous LEED-certified stores, its ground-breaking Net Zero branch – a branch that consumes as much energy as it produces on-site – and other unique energy-efficient practices. TD Bank U.S. Real Estate Green Strategy Officer, Jackie Henke, served as the primary spokesperson for these efforts. The team secured media opportunities for her with key environmental outlets such as GreenBiz.com and TreeHugger.
Additionally, CooperKatz partnered with TD Bank to promote its community-level environmental efforts, such as TD Tree Days, which provide employees, their families and members of the community the opportunity to volunteer by planting trees. Other local efforts include the transformation of New York City ATMs into “A-Tree-Ms,” where TD Bank plants a tree for every paper-free transaction.
