Fresh Faces: Brittany Hoops, Account Coordinator

Fresh Faces is a series on our blog in which we introduce new members of the CooperKatz team. In this post, get to know our new account coordinator, Brittany Hoops!

Where did you go to school and what did you study?

I’m a recent graduate of Monmouth University and hold a B.A. in Anthropology. I can identify premodern human skulls! I was also double major in Elementary Education until my senior year when I realized that teaching is not for me.

What made you go into PR?

I quickly became acquainted with PR when I founded an a cappella group on my campus. My group had no brand and no places to sing and needed a PR plan. I enrolled in PR and marketing classes as electives until I finally took the plunge and traded out my planned student teaching semester for an internship at a PR agency.

What do you like most about CooperKatz so far?

My colleagues, and the CK company culture! Where else can you have a 1996 dance party, mid-day? My teams are so caring and helpful as I’m being transitioned onto my accounts.

What is one of your favorite things to do in New York City?

Eat! I’m a total foodie, and NYC has such a great food scene.

What is one of your favorite TV shows or movies and why do you love it?

I don’t watch much TV, but I love to leave HGTV on in the background while I’m at home. House Hunters International is my favorite show. I love interior design. I also just finished binge watching the new season of Orange Is the New Black.

Tell us a “fun fact” about you.

I have been a vegetarian for nearly 12 years, more than half my life!
