As an account supervisor with CooperKatz, Jasmine Lyons plays an integral role in the planning and execution of public relations programs for Polar, the leader in heart rate monitoring and fitness assessment technologies, Grinnell College in Iowa, the highly regarded liberal arts institution, and Guardian Life Insurance Company of America, one of the largest and oldest mutual life insurance companies in the United States.

A highly experienced media specialist, Jasmine creates sound strategies and outreach approaches that consistently achieve strong results. She also contributes significantly to the CooperKatz Cogence® practice, developing PR strategies and programs specific to social and consumer generated media channels, such as blog seeding and building clients' presence on social networking sites such as Facebook.

In addition to her current clients, Jasmine previously provided public relations support for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC); Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, the world's second largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain; Teliris, a leading provider of telepresence solutions; and Flip.com, a Web site geared to teenage girls launched by CondéNet.

Prior to joining CooperKatz, Jasmine was a media relations specialist with the National Education Association (NEA), where she identified placement opportunities and implemented earned media strategies regarding the organization's public affairs issues, national initiatives, press events and announcements. She also worked for Strauss Radio Strategies, conducting outreach to radio stations and networks across the country on behalf of clients like Nike, Yahoo! and the American Cancer Society. Before that, she freelanced for the Rockland Journal News as a sports writer.

Jasmine holds a Bachelor of Arts in public communication from American University.
