As administrative assistant for CooperKatz, Tanya Matthews performs a variety of organizational and clerical duties necessary to running the agency efficiently. As the central point of contact for the office, Tanya schedules meetings and appointments, manages travel arrangements and executes other day-to-day operational tasks.
Prior to joining CooperKatz, Tanya was a receptionist with Science and Medicine, a division of Publicis Medical Education Group. There she organized team calendars and office events, as well as provided client-team support for Wyeth, Intendis and Sanofi-Aventis projects.
Previously, Tanya interned and worked as an administrative assistant for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), a non-profit organization. While there she assisted the program coordinators with correspondence and phone calls, maintained student attendance and helped organize events such as College Knowledge Day with the Association of Black Admissions and Financial Aid Officers of the Ivy League and Sister Schools at Columbia University.
Tanya has also volunteered for LIFEbeat - The Music Industry Fights AIDS. She supported the preparation, planning and execution of several LIFEbeat events, including UrbanAID concerts in New York and a benefit concert in Washington, DC, for World AIDS day. Through LIFEbeat's program Hearts and Voices, Tanya also gave her time and support to individuals hospitalized with AIDS.
She is currently an Associate in Applied Science candidate at Borough of Manhattan Community College.
