Check out comments from CooperKatz principal, Andy Cooper, in today’s issue of The Firm Voice, the online publication of the Council of Public Relations Firms.

In the piece titled “PR Firm Stimulus Package: Eleven Practical Strategies for Stimulating Business in 2010,” Andy shares insights on how re-launching our agency’s Web site expanded into a broader and highly-valuable exercise in reconnecting with what makes us unique – as well as rethinking how we present ourselves through all channels.

What Really Matters

From time to time I am copied on nice notes from clients following a great hit or the execution of a successful event. Recently, however, I was cc’d on one of the most satisfying thank you notes I have ever seen. It was from our client to the CooperKatz director on the account. What made this thank you extra special was that it was not connected with a specific spectacular result. Rather, it was an out-of-the-blue note about the team of people we have assembled to work with her.

Helping Customers Tell Their Stories

A few months ago, CooperKatz led a Polar social media project dubbed the Polar “Journey to Wow!” contest. The contest lived on Polar USA’s Facebook page but we also tapped into their growing Twitter following as a way to connect with “Non-Facebookers” – Yes, it’s true, some people still do not use Facebook. Via status updates, a few tweets and private messages, we called on Polar users to share their personal stories with us…and share they did! I was amazed by the intensity of the stories and the explosion of emotions many revealed. And no matter how diverse their goals and stories were, Polar was always a part of the equation. I can go on for days discussing the stories, but that doesn’t really work for a blog post. Besides, you can still read many of the stories for yourself on the PolarUSA Facebook page or check out the amazing coverage of Isidro Alba, featured in his local paper, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

ANA Convenes 99th Annual Conference

Today, longtime CooperKatz client the ANA (Association of National Advertisers) convened its 99th Annual Conference. With 1,200 registered attendees, it is the organization’s largest gathering to date.  The ANA is simultaneously kicking off the celebration of its 100th anniversary, a significant milestone that will be acknowledged across 2010.

As the first action to mark this centennial, Bob Liodice, president and CEO of the ANA, unveiled the Marketers’ Constitution. Comprised of 10 principles to which the ANA is asking all members of the marketing industry to pledge their commitment, the Constitution is dedicated to helping ensure that the marketing industry “thrives and continues to contribute significantly to the economic and social well-being of our society."

Thought Bubble is a space for members of the CooperKatz team to share whatever comes to mind - from news about our company and clients, to insights on the constant evolution of the marketing communications landscape.
