Three Tips to Make Your Savings Goals a Reality

With rising rents and student loan debt through the roof, saving money can be challenging for many Americans. However, a new survey from CK client, TD Bank found that nearly half of Americans described themselves as “good savers” and many are feeling confident in their ability to save for the future.

Want to know which generation feels the most confident when it comes to savings? That’s right, Gen Y! As a millennial that graduated a few years ago and is trying to survive in New York City where the average cup of coffee costs $6.14, it’s encouraging to see that so many millennials are making savings a priority.

Let’s De-Stress: Meditation Breaks at CK

It’s 9:00 a.m. and you already have 20 plus emails in your inbox, two meetings and a brainstorm scheduled all before lunch. While I’d argue that many PR professionals (myself included) thrive on this fast-paced, high energy atmosphere, our profession is often ranked as one of the most stressful jobs.
To alleviate work-related stress, the CooperKatz Wellness Team recently began hosting guided meditation sessions. Each month a group of employees can be found in our creative space on the floor and couch being guided through various breathing and relaxation techniques.

From AC to Executive: Leadership Advice for Young Professionals

October 22, 2012, 12:35pm posted by Gabriella Miranda

A group of women here at CK recently joined together to watch the first in a series panels hosted by Ketchum CEO Barri Rafferty entitled, “Real Women Fostering Women’s Leadership.”  The panelists included communications professionals Cheryl Callan of Weight Watchers, Edna Johnson of Michelin and Janet Riccio of Omnicom Group. From leadership advice to the delicate balance of being a respected executive and a cherished mother, this panel of women explored some of the challenges professional women face today, as we create high goals and even higher expectations for ourselves.

As the two female Account Coordinators here at CooperKatz, we were intrigued by the entire conversation. Although the panel leaned toward discussions of female executives balancing work and motherhood, we were happy to walk away with some great advice for young professionals just getting started in the workplace.

Thought Bubble is a space for members of the CooperKatz team to share whatever comes to mind - from news about our company and clients, to insights on the constant evolution of the marketing communications landscape.
