CooperKatz strongly believes in the importance of carefully tracking/reporting activities and measuring results.
We can track and measure our efforts at three levels and are experienced at providing one or all levels as required.
Activity reporting
The most basic level of reporting we provide to our clients is the activity report (typically issued monthly). This detailed document includes every significant action the agency took on behalf of the client, including account handling tasks, creative efforts and media/analyst contacts. The activity report is organized to match the client’s program plan/calendar i.e. tasks accomplished/pending are listed under headings that match the client’s approved program plan/calendar thereby providing a clear, trackable gauge of agency performance.
Results reporting
The next level of measurement we provide to our clients is the media results report (typically issued monthly). At a minimum, the media results report captures all known coverage available via the agency’s electronic and hard-copy clipping services. Based on client need, we track media coverage by topic, program, product, practice, etc. and, if desired, objectively analyze the content and placement in accordance with specific communications objectives and message points.
Business impact
The ultimate level of measurement we provide is determining the impact of our activities and media coverage on the client’s business. This type of measurement may require doing attitudinal and behavioral research with the client’s target audience and/or access to the client’s proprietary data such as sales figures, website traffic, event registrations and customer feedback.
In summary, we are comfortable/capable of measuring the effectiveness of our public relations programs at many levels and would work closely with you to adopt the most effective, appropriate and useful measurement techniques.
