Previously at Subsystem Technologies, Inc., a government contracting firm, she managed programs for the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Policy and Strategy and the Federal Aviation Administration. Her responsibilities included preparation of briefing materials, creation and implementation of a crisis management plan, editing newsletters and supervising trade show exhibits.

Ms. Kirkham’s prior experience includes an internship at Hope-Beckham Inc., an Atlanta-based public relations firm. There she worked with clients such as The Coca-Cola Company and the MBNA Foxhall Cup. While in college she served as the assistant news editor for her campus newspaper, The George-Anne.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations from Georgia Southern University.
