Career highlights include producing product introductions and sales campaigns for MetLife; launching the Answer Center and pioneering the use of infomercials for GE; managing the AT&T Olympic Torch Relay; and leading the U.S. Treasury’s global introduction of the new $100 bill.
Prior to founding CooperKatz & Company, he spent 21 years with Burson-Marsteller and held numerous senior management positions, including Account Group Manager, Director of Creative Services, President of the New York office and Vice Chairman of the company.
In 1996, along with college friend and Burson-Marsteller colleague Ralph Katz, he co-founded CooperKatz & Company. Building on their diverse public relations experiences, CooperKatz quickly developed a strong, loyal client base across these sectors: healthcare, technology, consumer products, financial services, professional services, business-to-business and non-profit organizations. As one of the public relations profession's most experienced practitioners, Andy serves as a senior strategic and creative counselor to all accounts, leads the firm’s media training practice and serves on the Board of Directors of the Council of Public Relations Firms.
He holds a B.A. degree from Grinnell College and an M.S. from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.
