As an account supervisor at CooperKatz, Lesley Weiner plays a key role on several client account teams including The ANA (Association of National Advertisers) and Flip.com, a Web site geared towards teenage girls launched by CondéNet. She also supports company-wide research, brainstorming and media outreach.
Since joining CooperKatz in June 2002, Ms. Weiner has participated in the planning and execution of numerous special events and communications programs. Past CooperKatz experiences include ongoing public relations support for Waterfront Media and Everydayhealth.com; VEET Depilatories; WeatherBug; Carrier Corporation’s 100th anniversary of the invention of modern air conditioning; the Civic Alliance to Rebuild Downtown New York’s “Listening to the City” town hall event; Canon’s Annual Celebrity Golf Challenge; France Telecom media relations; Otis Elevator Corporation’s 150th anniversary of the safety elevator; and the launch of the Otis NextStep escalator.
Prior to joining CooperKatz, Ms. Weiner interned at PR21 in New York, where she worked with clients such as Johnson & Johnson’s Clean & Clear, Fossil and Whirlpool. She also supported teams in the not-for-profit and the new media groups, such as the Music For Youth Foundation and the New York New Media Association accounts.
Ms. Weiner holds a bachelor of science degree in public relations from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
