As administrative assistant for CooperKatz & Company, Tanya Matthews performs a variety of administrative and clerical duties necessary to running the organization efficiently. As the central point of contact for the office, Ms. Matthews schedules meetings and appointments, manages travel arrangements, and executes other day-to-day operational tasks.
Prior to joining CooperKatz, Ms. Matthews was a receptionist with Science and Medicine, a division of Publicis Medical Education Group. There she organized team calendars and office events, as well as provided client-team support for Wyeth, Intendis and Sanofi-Aventis projects.
Previously Ms. Matthews interned and worked as an administrative assistant for Sponsors for Educational Opportunity (SEO), a non-profit organization. While there she assisted the Program Coordinators with correspondence and phone calls, maintained student attendance, and helped organize events such as College Knowledge Day with ABAFAOILSS (The Association of Black Admissions and Financial Aid Officers of the Ivy League and Sister Schools) at Columbia University.
Ms Matthews has also volunteered for LIFEbeat The Music Industry Fights AIDS. She supported the preparation, planning and execution of several LIFEbeat events, including UrbanAID concerts in New York and a benefit concert in Washington, DC, for World AIDS day. Through LIFEbeat’s program Hearts and Voices, Ms. Matthews also gave her time and support to individuals hospitalized with AIDS.
Ms. Matthews is currently an Associate in Arts degree candidate at Borough of Manhattan Community College.
