Canon's partnership with the nonprofit organization has helped to recover more than 44 missing kids.
Activities included generating local and national media interest in the Canon Celebrity Golf Challenge, an event that preceded the Comdex trade show in Las Vegas, and elevating the issue of missing children onto the national media scene. CooperKatz developed a ‘tip sheet’ and a B-roll package to demonstrate to parents the best way to take digital photos of their children that could be distributed to law enforcement officials quickly/easily in the event of an abduction. The B-roll package included interviews with John Walsh, host of “America's Most Wanted,” Canon executives and members of the Las Vegas Police Department. CooperKatz also created a public service announcement featuring Walsh that encouraged parents to photograph their children regularly for this purpose. Media results included: The Las Vegas Sun, CNET Radio, Univision, PC Magazine Online, Fox and ABC's Las Vegas affiliates and many more.
