Kemin Health, a global manufacturer and marketer of nutritional ingredients, selected CooperKatz to design and execute a national public relations program underscoring the scientifically proven skin health benefits of its nutritional supplement, FloraGLO® Lutein.

The campaign, aimed at customers/prospects, medical professionals, beauty experts and consumers, coincided with the publication of a new study by a well established scientific investigator.

Tactical elements included media outreach in support of the lead investigator’s presentation at a medical conference; distribution of press materials to trade publications and beauty/health editors at national newspapers and magazines; video and audio news releases featuring a nationally know dermatologist; deskside briefings with 11 top magazines, including Allure, Elle, Shape and Family Circle; and distribution of a teaser mailing (Marigold seeds, the source of FloraGLO® Lutein, along with a product sample and press kit) to 100 beauty/lifestyle editors nationwide.

The campaign resulted in coverage in trade publications like Food Processing, Nutra USA Ingredients and Medical News Today and general/business media outlets like USA Weekend, Dallas Morning News and Forbes.com. The video news release reached over 3 million viewers, and the audio release reached an additional 6 million listeners.
