Since 2005, CooperKatz has supported Petfinder.com, the nation’s online largest database of adoptable pets.
Across five years of aggressive offline and online media outreach, CooperKatz has worked tirelessly to heighten national awareness of Petfinder.com, the top pet-related site on the Web and a directory of more than 13,000 North American animal shelters and rescues. Program goals include driving site traffic and promoting co-founder Betsy Saul as a leading expert in the animal welfare industry.
Our first comprehensive publicity campaign for the site supported the Petfinder Hurricane Katrina Emergency Response Network, which helped reunite over 2,000 displaced pets with their families. Coverage appeared across such top outlets as CNN, MSNBC, “FOX & Friends,” “CBS Early Show,” “Good Morning America,” New York Post, Atlanta Journal Constitution and New York Daily News.
Over the years, CooperKatz has continued to drive coverage across every type of prominent media outlet, including the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, USA Today print edition and pet blog, TIME, Family Circle, Ladies’ Home Journal, Real Simple, Reader’s Digest, AOL.com, MSNBC.com, Huffington Post, Oprah.com and Woman’s Day, PetSugar, iVillage.com and the Consumerist.
For Petfinder’s 10th anniversary, CooperKatz secured a major segment on “TODAY Show” in which ten 10-year-old children were surprised on air with a puppy adopted by their parents through Petfinder.com. More recently, CooperKatz executed the first ‘Adopt-a-Less-Adoptable Pet Day’ and developed the ‘Fur Keeps Program,’ an online initiative to ensure that adoptions last a lifetime. In 2008, Petfinder.com was named one of TIME Magazine’s 50 Best Web Sites, and in 2009, Womansday.com named Betsy Saul one of 50 women who are changing the world.
