As a senior account executive at CooperKatz, Katy Layton serves as a key member of the account teams for Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, Petfinder.com and Garanimals, a children’s line of clothing, toys and shoes sold exclusively at Walmart. She has a passion for combining creative thinking with smart business strategy - something she brings to all of her client assignments.
Since joining the agency in 2007, Katy has supported numerous communications initiatives for her clients. She helps to plan and drive ongoing media relations/outreach for all her accounts and is noted for brainstorming fresh angles and approaches to meet client objectives. For two years, she worked to build the leadership profile of the Noblis Health Innovation by fostering media relationships, developing targeted advertorial campaigns and securing multiple thought-leadership byline articles and conference speaking opportunities. She also played a significant role in ramping up the public relations campaign for HowStuffWorks.com, a subsidiary of Discovery Communications Digital Media group.
In the digital arena, Katy has built strong capabilities in blogger relations and social media analysis by conducting viral outreach for the online launch of ShopVogue.TV and heading in-depth social media monitoring for Colgate-Palmolive.
Prior to joining CooperKatz, Katy held several internships in marketing, event planning and public relations and represented the University of Florida in two award-winning national communications competitions. She holds a bachelor's degree in public relations from the University of Florida. |
