Blending a creative marketing flair with strong systems and financial management, Ralph Katz has tackled some of the most complex projects and programs ever conceived for corporate America.
Career highlights include leadership of the worldwide announcement of NYNEX’s single brand strategy; creative direction of multiple special events to celebrate the Bicentennial of the New York Stock Exchange; management of the FedEx-sponsored Laser and Light show in downtown Calgary for the 1988 Winter Olympics; and creative leadership of an award-winning multi-city Olympic touring exhibit for BellSouth.
For the majority of his eighteen years with Burson-Marsteller, Ralph headed the firm’s highly regarded Creative Services unit, which produced meetings, events, films, videos, printed materials and presentations for clients such as Amoco, Asea Brown Bovari, Chemical Bank, Digital Equipment, DuPont, Mercedes Benz, MetLife, The US Postal Service and Wendy’s. Prior to joining Burson-Marsteller, he spent five years as a media planner and supervisor for Ted Bates Advertising.
At CooperKatz Ralph has led the firm’s comprehensive communications assignments for Amway, the Association of National Advertisers, Carrier, DialAmerica, Gap International, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners, Otis and Vespa. He has also led the agency’s creative/production work for Gap International, Polar USA, Towers Perrin and VNU. Major meetings/events he has produced include Discovery Networks’ Upfront advertiser presentations, the Association of National Advertisers’ annual conferences, the re-launch of the Coca-Cola Company’s Powerade brand and the 100th Anniversary of the invention of air conditioning for Carrier Corporation.
Ralph holds a Bachelor of Arts from Case Western Reserve University and a Master of Science from the Newhouse School at Syracuse University.
