In her role as manager, client service at CooperKatz & Company, Amira Rubin leads the public relations efforts for Insure U, the education program of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). She also oversees the efforts of account teams serving Teliris, the leading full-service provider of telepresence solutions; DialAmerica, one of the nation's largest tele-services companies; Polar, the leader in fitness assessment technology; and Petfinder.com, the largest online database of adoptable animals.
Ms. Rubin joined CooperKatz from Burson-Marsteller, where she spent five years overseeing account teams in the U.S., Europe and Asia-Pacific regions for clients such as Hewlett-Packard and SAP. Prior to Burson-Marsteller, she represented IBM Financial Services and Charles Schwab & Co at TSI Communications. She has managed major public relations campaigns for various industries, including insurance, banking and automotive, as well as aerospace and defense. Ms. Rubin honed her writing and editing skills while at William Morrow & Company/HarperCollins and Simon & Schuster. She holds a bachelor's in Communications, with a concentration in Journalism, from Stern College.
