As an account supervisor at CooperKatz, Melanie Scherenzel-Cherry supports ongoing account and project assignments for both the public relations and creative production sides of the business.
Currently, Melanie provides strategic, tactical and creative support for Polar, Jackson Hewitt Tax Service and DialAmerica. Her previous account work at CooperKatz includes the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), the Association of National Advertisers (ANA), Popeyes Louisiana Chicken and Amway.
Melanie comes to CooperKatz with a diverse mix of communications and marketing experience across a range of industries. Prior to CooperKatz, she worked for boutique agencies in New York City where her assignments included Scion, Timberland, Nike, New Balance, Catalina Health Resource and IBM. She has also supported branding and communications programs for individual NFL and NBA players. In addition, she has worked in television and online production for Oxygen Media.
Melanie started her communications career at Syracuse University in the Sports Information department, where she handled media relations for football and men's and women's basketball.
She is a graduate of Syracuse University and holds a bachelor's degree in information technology and a master's degree in public relations from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
