If there is one date that people almost never forget, for better or worse, it’s the first one.
For most people, first dates go one of two ways. There’s the “couldn’t-have-gone-better,” fairytale-like date comprised of great food, events and company. But then there is the “get-me-out-of here,” complete face-plant date. Having recently started an internship with CooperKatz, I realized there are uncanny similarities between first dates and starting an internship.
It’s graduation season once again, and many new grads will be stepping out into the world for the first time and starting brand new careers. We started reminiscing about this exciting and scary time and asked CooperKatz team members to share advice, anecdotes and insights about what they wish they knew when they started their career.
Whether you (or your kids!) grew up watching Sesame Street, The Muppet Show or Fraggle Rock, there’s no doubt that Jim Henson’s Muppets are a cultural powerhouse. From Julie Andrews and Steve Martin’s appearances on The Muppet Show to 2014’s star-studded Muppets Most Wanted, the Muppets have a long history of strategic partnerships and perfectly-timed cultural zingers that walk the fine line between current and classic – something any PR practitioner can seek to emulate.
