Last week, CooperKatz had the opportunity to participate in the Annual Job Fair co-organized by the Howard University Johnson School of Communications and The Council of Public Relations Firms. While we’ve always found these types of networking events to be fertile ground for the exchange of resumes, business cards and conversations withcandidates ‘putting on their best,’ they’ve also provided us valuable, real-time insight on what’s actually happening out there relative to young people on the job market – both now and into the near future.
CooperKatz recently participated in Skip Lunch Fight Hunger, a New York City-wide initiative that asks individuals to donate what they normally spend on lunch to help fight hunger.

The Partnership for a Drug-Free America recently launched two new initiatives to address the specific needs of Hispanic and military families when it comes to having conversations about the risks of drug and alcohol use. As an extension of Partnership’s “Time to Talk” movement, the Spanish-language program, known as “Habla Con Tus Hijos,” and the military-specific program both encourage parents to initiate and maintain open and honest conversations with their children by providing them with helpful tips and tools available online for free download.
